How to Register:

Withholding File Number
New businesses can register online. Successful registration will generate your Withholding File Number within 24 hours. 

Unemployment Insurance Account Number
New Businesses can register online. You will receive your Unemployment Insurance Account Number within 2-3 weeks.

How to locate these numbers if you’re already registered:

  • Locate your Withholding File Number on any notices received from the SC Department of Revenue. If you have any questions, reach out to the agency at (844) 898-8542, option 4.

  • Find your UI Account Number on notices received from the Department of Employment and Workforce. If you have any questions, contact the agency at (803) 737-2400, option 3.

  • Your Total Tax Rate is the combination of your Unemployment Insurance Tax Rate and the Departmental Administrative Contingency Assessment (DACA).

  • You can find your Total Tax Rate on the notice mailed by the Department of Employment and Workforce. If you have any questions, contact the agency at (803) 737-2400, option 3.
